Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know how to code?
Nope! DrawMyEA was built for traders, not developers. You create strategies by drawing flowcharts—just connect blocks to define your logic. No programming knowledge needed at all.
Does it work with MT4 or MT5?
DrawMyEA currently supports MetaTrader 5 only. Once your strategy is ready, you can export a compiled .ex5 expert advisor file that's ready to use in MT5 right away.MetaTrader 5
Can I test strategies?
You can export your EA and run it in MetaTrader 5's Strategy Tester to backtest your idea using historical data.
Is there a free version?
Absolutely. You can start drawing and experimenting with simple strategies for free. When you're ready to export or build more advanced logic, you can upgrade to a paid plan.
Do I need to install anything?
Nope! DrawMyEA runs entirely in your browser. There's nothing to install, and you can access your projects from any device with an internet connection.
How do I export my expert advisor?
Just click Export, and you'll receive a ready-to-use .ex5 file. No compiling, no MetaEditor—just drop the file into your MetaTrader 5 Experts folder and start testing or trading.
Will my strategies be private?
Yes. Your strategies are saved securely and are only visible to you. We never share or access your work unless you explicitly request help.
Can I build complex strategies?
You can build detailed strategies with multiple conditions and indicator logic, as long as they fit within the current capabilities of DrawMyEA. It's a great starting point for both simple and moderately advanced ideas.
Can I suggest features?
Definitely! We're actively developing DrawMyEA, and user feedback shapes our roadmap. If there's something you need, we'd love to hear from you.
How do credits work?

Credits are used when exporting your drawing into an Expert Advisor (EA). You can assign account numbers during compilation, and the number of credits deducted will match the number of accounts, up to a maximum of 5.

  • 1 to 5 MT5 accounts assigned: That exact number of credits will be deducted.
  • No accounts or more than 5 accounts assigned: A flat rate of 5 credits will be deducted.
What happens when I run out of credits?
You will no longer be able to export your drawings into Expert Advisors. However, you can still create and modify your diagrams without any interruptions.
What's the difference between a subscription plan and a one-time flexible plan?
  • Subscriptions  give you ongoing access to a set number of credits each month or each year, ensuring you always have what you need to build expert advisors effortlessly.
  • One-Time Flexible plans, on the other hand, lets you buy credits as needed—perfect for those who prefer flexibility without a monthly commitment.
What's the difference between a monthly and a yearly subscription?
The main difference is how often you pay and receive credits:
  • Monthly Subscription: You are billed every month, and you receive your credits upfront upon payment.
  • Yearly Subscription: You pay once for the entire year and receive all your credits at once upon payment confirmation. This option often comes at a discounted rate compared to paying monthly.
How does upgrading or downgrading my subscription work?

You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time and choose between monthly or annual billing.

Once your payment is confirmed, your new subscription plan will be activated immediately. Any document credits you've already paid for will remain available after the change.

What happens if my subscription expires?
After your subscription expires, you can still use any remaining credits, but you will only be able to build expert advisors for demo trading accounts. To regain access for real trading accounts, you'll need to renew your subscription or switch to one-time flexible plan.
What happens if I don't purchase new one-time flexible plan credits?
With One-Time Flexible plan, you can build expert advisors for real trading accounts for 40 days from your last purchase. After 40 days, you can still use your credits, but only for demo trading accounts unless you buy more credits.
Which option is best for me?
If you plan to use DrawMyEA regularly, a subscription offers the best value with continuous access and included credits each month. If you only need credits occasionally or want full control over spending,one-time flexible plan is a great choice.
Can I purchase additional credits if I run out?
Yes! If you run out of credits during your subscription period, you can purchase additional credits at any time. These extra credits will be available immediately and can be used just like your regular credits.
Can I switch from a one-time flexible plan to a subscription later?'
Absolutely! You can start with one-time flexible plan and upgrade to a subscription anytime if you find yourself using DrawMyEA more frequently.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes! You can cancel or change your subscription anytime, and you'll still have access until the end of your billing period.

All your drawings will remain intact. You can reactivate your subscription at any time and regain access to your saved work.

Do my credits expire?

It depends on the type of credits you have:

  • Free Trial Credits: These are available for the duration of your 14-day trial. If you don't start a subscription or purchase one-time flexible plan credits before the trial ends, your trial credits will expire and you'll lose access to them.
  • Subscription Credits: These are yours to keep—even if your subscription ends—as long as your account remains active. However, you'll only be able to export them for demo trading accounts after the subscription expires unless you renew or switch to a one-time flexible plan.
  • One-Time Flexible plan Credits: These also remain available as long as your account stays active. Just note that exports to real trading accounts are only enabledfor 40 days. After that period, you can still use your remaining credits, but only for exporting to demo accounts unless you buy more credits.

For both subscription and one-time flexible plan credits, any unused credits will expire if your account has been inactive for 12 months (no logins or usage).

Will I lose my drawings if I cancel my account?
All your drawings will remain intact. You can reactivate your subscription at any time and regain access to your saved work.
How long are my files available for download?
We store your generated EA files for 30 days from the date of creation. After that, they're automatically deleted to keep our servers clean and secure. Be sure to download and back them up before they expire!
Who can access my files?
Only you can access your files. Downloads are linked to your account and are protected behind secure login. Nobody else can see or download your EAs.
Are my files secure?
Yes. All files are stored securely with encryption in transit and at rest.
Can I re-generate a deleted file after 30 days?
You'll need to re-create your EA using the builder if the file has expired. We don't keep backups after the 30-day window, so save your work early!
Can I download my EA more than once?
Absolutely. You can download your file as many times as you like during the 30-day period.
I can't find my file—what should I do?
First, check if the 30-day window has passed. If not, try refreshing the page or checking your account's Downloads section. Still stuck? Contact support and we'll help you out.
Can I download from mobile?
Yes, but we recommend using a desktop for downloading and managing EA files, especially if you plan to load them into MetaTrader.
